I am receiving the message that disk c: is low on memory and am supposed to
delete programs to free space. I have 14 GB on c and it is full but have
166GB on disk d: and have no idea how to access this memory so that I don't
have to delete programs. Will someone please explain to me how to change
things so I can use this additional memory? Thanks to all those smarter
than me!

Use some type of disk cloning utility (like Norton Ghost) and copy the small C
drive over to D. Then, make the D: drive (Slave) be the new C drive (Master.)
