Heres the problem: I installed Norton 360 lastnight. I am getting the
following errors. Error 1: Windows - No Disk exception processing message
c0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c. The 2nd issue is when going
to Run/msconfig when trying to change the start up, services or how my pc
boots I get the following error: an access Denied error was returned while
attempting to change a service. You may need to log on using an
administrator account to make the specified changes. I am the only user of
this PC. My user info shows me as the administrator. I contacted Symantec
Tech Sup 3 times today. They were no help. They haven't a clue what their
program did to my PC and are now saying its a Microsoft problem not a Norton
problem. I have removed Aim Chat, changed registry settings they said needed
changed, unistalled Norton 360 (the errors still occur), reinstalled N360 so
I could contact their support yet again. And the worse part is after
installing N360 and contacting their support I can't even use my restore
points to restore to an earlier time because N360 removed the backups during
its supposed clean up of my system. They state that their progam isn't what
did it but I had the one I created 3 days ago called Clean restore point
61507 its gone along with all the others. I plan to remove N360 return it
and get a refund but does anyone know how to fix these errors without having
to do a complete format and restore?

Restore your system from the backup you made before you loaded Norton
software....
You DID make a backup didn't you?

Oh, dear!

I bet you'll make backups after this. Try Aconis True Image www.acronis.com

Good Luck,

like I said Symantecs Norton 360 Internet and virus protection software
really screwed up my PC. It completely removed my back up restore points
making it impossible to do a quick system restore on my PC. The bad thing is
their tech support had no clue how to fix the issues. Just a search on the
net and a few seconds later I located tons of people who have the same
issues. some stated they contacted Symantec about the problems and still they
don't know how to fix it. Symantec tech support just want to play the blame
game. I can't understand the hiring of people who don't know or understand
the product. I really can't stand anyone who thinks they have the right to
talk/chat down to me like I'm stupid. I guess my only solution for a not so
quick fix is the full format and restore. And to locate a very different
product. I used to swear by Symantec but after this I will never again use
their product. Thanks for your reply.

Thanks but it didn't work. I'm just going to do a full format and restore
and never use another Symantec product again. The new Internet Security 2007
and Norton 360 both seem to cause these issues and Symantecs tech support
deny it and are very rude. Instead of trying to undo what the product and
their tech support did it may take some time but the format and restore is
looking like a great easy option at this point. Thanks again

Most of us swear *at* Symantec.

but after this I will never again use
their product.

Good decision. They make some of the worst software products
available. I wouldn't allow anything Symantec near any of my machines.

And then get a backup/restore regime in place so you won't get caught
again.
To get caught once is normal, to get caught twice is dumb.
