Pls I Need Help

ok so this starts when I'm logging onto my pc, when I enter the username and
password the computer will restart itself, I'll have to re-enter my username
and password about 4 times before it stops restarting and I can get to my
desk top, but the problem doesn't stop there.

Once on my desktop an error message appears with the message saying that
windows has recovered from a serious error, and asks me to send an error
report, along with this message the message below apears.

Windows - No Disk
Exception Processing Message c0000013 Paramaters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c
The message also appears when I'm opening programs, web browser or my
security center, whats got me worried is that I can't run a virus scan, when
I try I get a message saying that McAffe has encountered an error and will
have to close.

I've tried surching the support site but with no results, any help you can
give would be great.

The OS I'm using is Widows XP Home Edition and my PC is a Compaq Presario 061

it sounds as if your hard disk has some errors and your operating system has
some corrupted files, get a new hd and be prepared to do a complete new
install, have your install cd handy.

To stop the reboots from happening so you can do some diagnosing, try
this:

# Right-click My Computer.
# Select Properties.
# In the System Properties, select the tab Advanced.
# In the box called Startup and Recovery, click Settings.
# Uncheck the box "Automatically restart" in the group System Failure
# Confirm the changes in both Windows by clicking OK.

Hopefully you are able to burn any needed files to cd before you
replace your hard drive. If you are unable to do so, I would suggest
booting your PC with a Linux live CD and mount your windows hard drive
so you will be able to access any files you want to backup.

Hi philo,
To TRY and save the current installation:- Run 'chkdsk /f' from
the Command Prompt (answering 'y' for yes to the question: "....cannot
start....would you like it to run on next reboot?") and afterwards, put the
XP cd that came with your computer into the cd-drive and type 'SFC /SCANNOW'
into the "Run" box and hit [ok]
If, after doing these two very basic things doesn't help get the system
in order, then a reinstall is your only option.

This KB article indicates a possible problem with a device that uses
removable media.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/152846
Disconnect the cables from your CD drives and floppy drive and see if the
errors go away. Reconnect one by one to find which device is at fault. If the
hard drive is suspected, download the diagnostic tools from the website of
your hard drive manufacturer. If any drive fails testing, replace it.

Okay, so I got it wrong have you really got nothing to better to amuse
yourself with? I'm sure Scottie would see it as a mistake, and then just
carry on... Some people seem to have NOTHING better to do than to point out
errors than have got NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ISSUE IN HAND.

....NOW...are there any spelling mistakes I've made that you'd like to point
out to me?!...

When you learn how to reply to the proper person, I will then go to
work on your spelling.
