need help installing i-tunes

im trying to install iTunes onto my computer, iv had it before but the
computer was reformatted, but i cannot put the program back on, during
installation these messeges come up:

iTunes Error
Error 1402. Could not open key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Sodtware\Classes\.cdda\OpenWithProgids. Veryfy that you
have sufficient access to that key, or contact your aupport personnel

Error transfer error
Error:- 1603 fatal error during installation. consult windows Installer Help
(Msi.chm) or MSDM for more information.



can some 1 please help me out? or point me in the right direction of how to
get it fixed

As the message implies, Windows Installer error 1402 means you don't have
sufficient access to write to a particular registry key. Make sure that the
current user has Read and Write to the mentioned registry key. You can
verify/alter the permissions using the Registry Editor. Start Registry
Editor by typing regedit.exe and navigate to the mentioned registry key.
Right-click and choose "Permissions".

Ramesh,

I am having a similar problem installing ITunes (xp home OS). Since I logged
on as administrator, I don't understatnd why I don't have 'permission' to
open a key in HKEY_LOCALMACHINE. Would you expect there to be keys not
accessible by the administrator?
