Nasty LOGON Message

after installing XP Pro, every time it is booted up, the following message
appears (HOW do I get rid of it so it goes right into the desktop?): "The
system could not log you on. Make sure your User Name and Domain are correct,
then type your password again.Letter in passwords must be typed using the
correct case". I am able to just click on the "OK" icon and get in, but it
re-appears on the next boot-up. Thank you!
