Names of Folders disappeared

I reorganized all thumbnail "My Pictures" by Name and
Auto Arrange and now all the names of the folders and
pictures have totally disappeared. How come? If I arange
them by List, Detail, etc, I can see the names are still
there but in the Thumbnails view. How do I get them
back??????

When you are in the thumbnail view, you have the option displaying or not
the file name below the thumbnails. I just can't remember how you change
from one to the other using the keyboard command. Obviously your option was
changed to not displaying the file name. Maybe somebody will pitch in.
There is always the option of resetting to default (the default is display
of file name). Right click on the folder name and then Properties, View,
Restore defaults.

Here is the stupid dog trick.
Open your folder to display the thumbnails.
Click on the view button and change the view from thumbnails to List.
Hold the Shift key down, click on the view icon and change the view back to
thumbnails.
Thumbnails will be displayed and the name of the file should be under each.
Do the same thing for your folders display.

Always nice to get a thank you, particularly when the proposed solution
works!
I have to admit that your post got my attention. A rarely posted question
here. I simply could not remember how to change the display. Sorry it took
so long.
