My wireless keeps on shutting on and off????

My wireless connection keeps logging on and off??? I have have windows
xp sp2. Dlink wireless g router. connected with cable modem. And
i’ve tried another router and another connection. still the same???
I’ve updated the firware. Confused?

Yeah........... I've often come across that.
First suspect is a "hands free" phone close by. Try turning that off for a
trial period? I sold my 2.4 phone & got a 900mhz one & haven't had a problem
since.
Next try looking for another close by Access Point (AP).
Next have a look to see if there are other AP's around you & if so what
channel they're on.
Not sure what country you're in but try to use a channel seperated from any
other. eg, if other is on 1 then change yours to 11 or 13.
I've heard that there are only three that don't affect each other. 1&5&11
(1&6&13) In other words at least 4 between each other.

you didn't say what your pc is; some pc wireless adapters try to do power
management that causes them to lose contact and then regain it
periodically. go into network connections, properties, advanced (or
somewhere in there) and check the "power saving mode": set it to CAM
(Constantly Aware Mode). (or "always on").

this has been a known issue w/ centrino based laptops, intel has a lot of
info and a fixed generic driver, search for it...
