Wireless Networks...

I’m able to connect to my own personal wireless network and others.

However, on several occasions although I have successfully connected to
other wireless networks the internet connection does not work. Is there a
Firewall setting I need to adjust? Or is there something else I need to
adjust?

Please let me know how I can fix this situation.

Thank you.

I will add that even if you are connected to the "wireless network",
whatever that means, if it means you are connected to the router, then
it does not mean the router is connected to the ISP or cable modem or
whatever. There are multiple things going on to be able to get a web
page on the screen.

Leythos?
Did I miss something in this conversation or did you hit reply on a
different thread than you intended? ;-)

Here's some more background.

I was able to connect to a friend's wireless for months and than one day I
wasn't. While my computer noted I was connected to the Internet I was not
able to sync my Outlook or surf the Internet.

The other instance was at another friend's house. I connected to his
wireless but again the same situation as described above occurred.

In both instances, there Internet was on and working.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

Thank you all again!
