If the product only came in a free version I might see it
differently, but
that's not the case. If he spent time helping out, answering a
variety of
questions and only occasionally recommended his product in
appropriate cases
I might see it differently.

But he doesn't. He offers no assistance other than to refer others
to his
website where he can potentially get a sale. Whether he replied to
you or
not or gave you a freebie (does marketing come to mind? ) doesn't
change
this fact. He is soliciting for his own benefit, to increase
traffic to his
site, in the hopes of a sale. If that weren't his intention then there
would be no pay version.

I have never seen him offer any assistance on any topic other than
to post a
link to his product. In the threads he replies to he never tries to
help
the OP with their issue, even if it can be solved, he never gives
the OP any
options, his only response is a link to his product.

I see this as spamming.

If you object to what you characterize as being a "netcop" (and I
don't see
it that way) then you might want to take your own advice, eh?

It's his opinion & he's entitled to it, same as you.

You have a lot to learn. And please stop posting all over the newsgroups with your HTML code.

I am sure he is not a spammer...

he is a nice and helpful guy...

I know this from personal experience..

I sent him once a comment on a typo on his web page,
and he sent me a serial key for free for his product...as a gesture of
kindness.

I appreciated that, since I did not expect that.

he also has a free version...

Now this seems to me like a nice guy.. go pick on someone else...

its ok to talk about his product.. its not that he will get rich as much
as bill gates with it,
and it might help people who don't like the vista start menu, and I must
assure you that there are many
that absolutely hate the way the vista start menu is, and don't like the
classic either...

giving them an option is not spam, having in mind that he also has a free
version!

so stop being a netcop.. lol

Hi,
He's a spammer. He has been posting this to anyone in the XP newsgroups who
asks any question about the Startmenuin XP.

I post this only when see that this program can help.
In this case:

For this -
Dave offer use Classic style(windows 95 style), yes this is the great
solution in 2007 if you don't know about Vista Start Menu.
May I ask you a question? Why consumer should purchase Windows at 200$
and use 10 years old menu?

I explain -
Menu in Windows Vista not usable at all. Yes its looks attractive but
you always need to scroll it. The Classic style is only one solution.

I offer other solution for free. Yes I sell PRO version(with extended
functionality), but development of this kind very expensive and I
can't do it on free basis.

Rock, you are welcome in private, I may grant you PRO version for
testing and use. You can get own opinion about this program, and
decide
does I post spam or solution.

You sound like you really know what your talking about, and
'hit-the-nail-on-the-head' when discribing the frustrating and just plain
stupid things Vista does that dont make any sense. Im always left searching
for, and trying to find out why/how to do the most simple things. I end up
spending a few hours on the computer, and being so frustrated i just end up
turning the computer off. I waste so much time TRYING to do my school work
on Vista, and end up with nothing to turn in and no time to do it somewhere
else.
Anyways, i have a problem right now, would u be interested in helping me?

I am having a terrible time trying to fix pictures, get them off of the cd's,
red eye, etc., etc.... I can't open any attachments with pps ... I have
tried downloading it from microsoft with no luck. MANY attachments that are
sent to me I just can't open. I'm not able to send out anything that I put
into "WORD" because people can't open them. HELP!! What can I do?? I have
tried calling Dell and can't understand the technicians with their accents.
You can very clearly understand them when you are putting in an order though!
I tried going the route of talking to them online, and that was a big
bummer. They must be helping 20 people at a time because it takes sooooo
long for them to answer questions, and then the questions are never
answered!! HELP!!

1. For PPS files do you have Power Point or Power Point Viewer?

2. For Word, if you have Word 2007 save the files as Word 98-2003 documents.
Earlier versions can't read DOCX files.

R

Richard Urban

To fix pictures you need a GOOD photo app, like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop.

To open .pps files you need Microsoft PowerPoint

If you are sending files, and others can not open them, you are not saving
the files in a format they can open or THEY don't have an equivalent
application on "their" computer which they can use to open the file.

So, what Office program do you have on your computer? What version?
