Both my DVD and CD-ROM are listed in device manager and the drives letters
are not present. I have removed them and rebooted to let it find them and
when I do, they are listed with an exclamation point. I reinstalled Windows
as an upgrade in hopes to fix the issue and it did not work. I uninstalled
and it did not work. The drives work in DOS

If there's an exclamation, point, there's an error code. That would be
helpful information.

Right Click on My COmputer, choose MAnage, then Disk Management. Are they
listed there, and can you change the drive letters (right click)?

They are not listed in Disk Management and wien you look at Device Manager,
the error codeis:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be
corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.
