dvd/cd rom device driver

My cd and dvd roms are not working, and when I look in the device manager,
they have yellow exlamation marks next to them. It says windows cannot load
device driver for this software. I've tried several things, such as
uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing helps. This occured after I tried
to install a dvd burner, realized it didn't fit, and removed it and put the
original cd rom in. Anyone have any advice?
