My computer keeps restarting... help me!!!

Our computer keeps restarting every now and again. Probably about every week.
I have a feeling that it has something to do with using Microsoft Word and
using the internet at the same time.

Sometimes a blue screen with writing will come up before the computer
restarts. This is what I've written down from it so far;

"Check to be sure you have adequate disc space. After a device has been
identified for the start up message, disable the driver and check with the
manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.
Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory
options such as caching on shadowering."

Open Control Panel - System - Advanced and click on the Settings
button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"Automatically restart" to clear it then click on Apply and OK as
needed to exit.

That should put a stop to your spontaneous reboots. However what may
happen is that the computer may just display the "Blue Screen Of
Death" and then stop there, requiring a manual power off and restart.
If that does happen then the contents of the blue screen error
message, especially an STOP code, the 4 parameters for the STOP code,
and any file or module names mentioned will be a direct clue as to the
underlying cause of the problem.

Another approach you can try is to right-click on "My Computer" and
select manage. Expand the Event Viewer category (click on the + sign)
and browse through each of the 3 subcategories looking for red-flagged
error records whose date and time stamp corresponds to any of your
previous spontaneous reboots. Double click on an error record to see
the details of that error. Post the error record information back
here if you need additional advice or assistance with that.

Good luck

something to you.
