I keep getting this message when I boot my xp home pc. It even does it when
I try to boot into safe mode. It also states:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your
compuer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in
the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for
driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendors for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory
options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove
or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced
startup options, and then select safe mode.

went to dell's web site and got the latest however not sure how to run it.
If it will not boot. I am currenly running a diagnostic full diagnostic on
the comuter and everything is passing.

Did the problem just happen or have you recently added or changed hardware
or software?

Hope this helps.

This is a friends computer I am working on (she said she had a mini bug) when
I used the stinger it showed that she had 344 infected files and 15 diffrent
viruses. She uses some type of free spyware\adware\virus software spybot I
think. She alos does not use IE, she had some kid fix it for her last year
when she got a virus and he put modzilla on it. I have never worked with it
either. Anyway I got rid of all but 2 of the viruses then was able to
connect back to the internet so I could update her virus\adware\spyware
software. Ran a scan once it was updated it cleand some spyware then it
rebooted its caused a dll problem so I ran registry fix and ran the xp CD to
repiar any problems that were caused it booted up I did not get the dll erors
you could see it installing devices then it had to reboot and now I get the
blue screen.
