My CD drive will not do a fresh read on a CD change.

I can't get my cd player to read a new CD when I put it in. It shows the
contents of the last disk that was in the drive. Even when I refresh the
drive it still doesn't change. Also autorun doesn't work anymore, how do
I set it on?

there is an AutoRun Fixer available on the web, google for:

Autoplay Repair Wizzard

it should reset/initialize settings and services needed to make autoplay
work again, including (hopefully) getting your "insert notification" issue
resolved.
