I have a AGP AIW 7500 PRO and a TV Wonder PCI that I am going to try
together using Multview. If it works out I will get a TV Wonder PRO to
go with my new AIW 9600 PRO.

Is the main purpose of this to watch one channel while recording
another? You would need a really powerful Xeon workstation to record
two different channels simultaneously so I assume that is not what it
was designed for. Is there other uses for it ?

thanks

Other uses (from the ATI web site) are: Picture in Picture, Picture outside
Picture (both allow watching of 2 channels at once), Channel surf,
TV-ON-DEMANDT , PVR while watching live TV. I've seen nothing about
recording 2 channels at once, I suspect that may not be possible due to the
TV Wonder/VE/Pro cards use of the (different) Conexant/Brooktree chipset to
the proprietary ATI chipset used on AIW cards.

I wish ATI would hurry up and get a few Universal PAL/SECAM TV Wonder Pro
cards out to the European market. People outside of the US and Canada are
interested in this technology too and don't appreciate being treated as 2nd
class citizens.
