AIW9000 + TV Wonder PCI & mulTview

Hey folks,

Since upgrading to the AIW9000 from my old, bunged-up AIW7500, I haven't
been able to get my TV Wonder PCI to get its display working without a
lime-green screen with corruption at the top in mulTview (NTSC, NA). If I
switch the primary TV display from the 9000 to the PCI card, then the
primary TV window is lime-green and the mulTview window works just fine. I
tried upgrading my Cat. and MMC to the current versions, but that didn't
solve the problem. I have been in touch with ATI support, but their only
recommendation was to try changing PCI slots, assuming there is an IRQ
issue. However, I am using XP Pro SP1 with all updates and patches and under
Device Manager, the only thing the PCI tuner shares its IRQ with is a USB
host controller. Swapping PCI slots likely wouldn't do the trick. Their
canned second suggestion was to re-install Windows.

The only thing I can think of now is to re-install the Cat. and MMC with
the PCI tuner removed. Once all is well for the AIW9000, then install the
PCI tuner. However, according to ATI tech support, the driver versions for
the PCI tuner are exactly what they should be at the moment.

Any suggestions or advice?

Thanks.

Dave

I just noticed that a poster above saw an MS update for stream.sys to clear
up issues with HT processors. Unfortunately, I can't disable HT in my BIOS
(Abit IT7 motherboard) so I can't test this. Might this be the issue?
