Multiple Problems Please Help

Problem One: Can't Finish installation of Norton Anti Virus & Can not
uninstall it.

Problem Two: When i try and open Windows Media Player i get the error
message Internal Apllication Error occured. Cannot re-install either.

Which version of Norton Antivirus?
here is Rnav2003.exe for Norton Antivirus 2003 instuructions.

Which version of Windows Media Player?

Try to run antivirus scan and Anti-Spyware tools first.
then try to open windows media player under Windows XP with Clean boot

In my opinion not installing Norton is a good thing. Try the removal
utilities mentioned by JR K Yoshikawa and then get some other
antivirus product such as eTrust, PC-Cillin, Kaspersky, AVG or Avast.
There are also a number of others but these are 5 that I know from
personal experience actually work.

What happens if you try to reinstall Media Player? What is the exact
error message that you get? And which version of Media Player do you
have?

This post was helpful with the norton program removal. It is now gone from
every peice accept the add remove programs list. The program on windows media
player i am running is WMP 10. The insructions given have been completed and
did not help with the application

I am Running WMP 10 and when i try and re-install it it tells me that there
is a more recent version of WMP already installed and installation cannot
complete

Check event viewer.
Start > Run... > Type eventvwr.exe and click OK
If you see Any Errors,
Post Event ID and Event Source.

Have you tried using Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Add/Remove
Windows Components and selecting the entry for Media Player?
