Multi user problem

Hi, need help on the following:

I have a database in my PC in a shared folder.
If I open it on my laptop and then on the PC I can open them simultaneous on
both machines. But if I open it first on my PC and then try to open on the
laptop I dont get no message and the database simply doesn't open. Nothing,
double click on the mdb file and nothing. Any thoughts on the subject? Can
anyone help me?

For multi-user use you should split the database and give each user their
own front end. See here for more info:
