MTF repair

Hi,

Any suggestions on how to repair the MTF on the primary C partition without
destroying too much data? This is on an IBM Thinkpad X40, no CD drive, no
Floppy drive, restore software is on a hidden partition (if that isn`t
damaged). Thanks
