MSVCRT.DLL Error Message

Whenever I try to access a link from my "home page" I get
a flag "I E has performed an illegal operation" "I E will
be shut down etc." It says the MSVCRT.DLL has a
conflict....My internet connection then shuts down.
VERY FRUSTRATING ! ....how do I fix this problem?....I
have uninstalled and re-installed IE 6 w/service packs etc
but to no avail....also tried to get some info from MS but
no go......anyone please help me....Ruane
