Page Fault in Module MSVCRT.DLL

Cris

Once I bring up my internet home page with my connection
which is Charter Pipeline,
I click on one of my favorites and receive a message with
Explorer at the top and the message This program has
performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. I
click on details with Explorer caused a page fault in
Module MSVCRT.DLL at 015f.78015a7. Registers, Bytes and
Stack Dump are listed. I don't know why this is happening
and it has just started recently. Please advise on to
correct. Thank you.

Hi,
From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." If that allows IE to work, another program is causing
the problem.

The cause may be an adware, spyware, parasite program. Work through the
solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

BHODemon 1.0: http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm may help you
find and disable a troublesome BHO.

More security tips at http://www.aumha.org/a/parasite.htm
Bugs, Glitches & Stuffups: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm

A legitimate program may be interfering with IE. Take a look at programs
running in the background such as anti-virus, ad-blockers, security,
toolbars, etc.

Note: You should re-enable browser extensions after resolving the problem.

Hope this helps,
