msn messenger hijacking

to whom this may concern:

does any one know if there is a patch to stop msn
messenger hijackings. i have had the problem for atlease a
month. the messages are comming from the csrss.exe. if
there is not a patch is there a way of tracking problem to
find a way of stoping it?

Just disable the Messenger service (go to Start>Run type 'Services.msc' to
get to the services management console).
 
.....that's the Windows Messenger service, not MSN Messenger (which is an
instant messaging client). Note that even for messenger spam, disabling the
Windows Messenger service is *not* the answer - the real answer is to get a
firewall that blocks those ports. However, I'm not sure that this pertains
to the OP's question..
 
What exactly are you seeing? A lot more info would help. Do you have your
firewall enabled? Do you see any errors in your system or app event logs?
