I try to sign in to my msn but the troubleshooter opens and tells me that
something in my Host Files might interefere with my "name resolution"...
Never heard of this before. I've already tried uninstalling MSN and
reinstalling but the same problem persists. Its MSN Messenger 7.5. Any ideas?

Look at the contents of the hosts file in notepad. It's in
C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc. All that needs be there, unless it's
been modified in same fashion is:
127.0.0.1 localhost

Disregard the lines beginning with #. That signifies a comment line.

Nothing in that hosts file has been modified since 2005.. the problem only
began this morning.

I can give you the exact error that comes up when it goes to the
troubleshooting.
"Your hosts file contains MSN Messenger related entries which may interfere
with name resolution"
This is the only test that failed... DNS, Proxy Server, IP... Everything
else passed except Hosts file...

MEh. got that to work too... It needed an advacned Run code... something
about dnsserver check or something.
