msn and hotmail

when i log on the internet and go to msn.com, and try to sign in to check my
email,
it said web page can not be display you might not be connected to internet.
but i am connected i surf the web but can not log in to check my email. i try
hotmail and msn messenger both say the same thing, also my computer will not
let me do a restore to a date the computer was working ok. can anyone help
with this?
