Moving files from C to D drive

I'm getting a message that my 15 gig c drive is just about maxed out (14.2
gigs used), and I've got 22.7 gigs unused on the d drive. Can I move the "My
Documents" folder to the d drive, without messing up existing paths and links.

I know about cleaning up disks, etc. but what else would you recommend to
get more stuff on the d drive?
