Moving and Saving Emails

I would like to move items I read out of my Inbox and into the Deleted Items
folder to save for future viewing. However, every time I close Windows Mail,
it deletes all the emails in the Deleted Items folder. Is there a way to
prevent it from doing this?

What a way to operate!

The deleted items folder is for just that.

Why not go to the View menu>current view>Hide Read Messages?

Putting mail in Deleted folder to save them makes no sense. Why don't you
create a new folder for saved mail and use that?

I agree. That's what "Deleted Items" was designed for. Please create you a
New Folder, name it whatever you want to call it, and keep you mail in there.
That way your mail will never disappear unless you want it to. :)

Changing providers doesn't require you to delete or change anything.
Just add a new account in Windows Mail for the new provider.

However, it doesn't hurt to backup your old emails: File, Export,
Messages, Microsoft Windows Mail.
