Mail goes into Deleted items

Hi,

As the subject states, some of the emails I'm getting is going
directly into the deleted items box of Windows Mail. Plus
when I've got new messages in the inbox (say about 12 emails)
and and I've read them and then go to delete them to my deleted
items the emails go to the deleted items but state I haven't read them.

I've checked all the settings and there's no rules and junk option is set to
off
to see if that works, but its still happening.

Any help would be helpful.

I have not come across those particular symptoms before.
However, interference from a non-compatible antivirus program
can cause all sorts of strange issues in Windows Mail. Which
antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off.

This is precisely the problem I have been writing about over the past few
days. So far I tried the recommendations given by this group, but the issue
still persists. If any group member has additional suggestions, it would
help us. Thank you.

Same question, which antivirus, and have you tried uninstalling
your antivirus to see if it makes a difference?

I can't understand why an anti virus program could affect the windows mail
program when all the settings on 3 pc's are the same, but one pc keeps
putting
the emails directly into the deleted items and also when you delete emails
it states
you haven't read them.

I guess I'll just have to have another look at it and see if I can figure
out what's going
on, if I find a solution I'll let you guys know.

Antivirus programs tend to be slow enough at causing problems in
Windows Mail that perhaps it just hasn't happened yet on the other
PCs.
