Forwarding of Mails from IMAP to LOCAL folders.

Hi All,

I have 2 IMAP accounts set up in my computer (OS Vista). All emails I
received from each account are automatically stored in each of its IMAP
folders. Is there a way that I can possibly set my Windows Mail up in such a
way that all those email will be stored directly in my local folders?

Example:

From Google Mail Folders To Local Folders
Inbox Inbox
Sent Items Sent Items
Deleted Items Deleted Items
Drafts Drafts
Junk E-mail Junk E-mail

I need all my mails in google to be forwarded to my local inbox and have
those original emails deleted from google mail.

Same thing when sending emails, I need all those sent emails to be stored in
my local sent items folder and not keep any copy in my google sent items
folder and so on with the deleted, drafts and junk.

Please help. I would really appreciate any information on this matter.

Thanks.

This newsgroup is short of IMAP experts, so you may have to wait longer
than the other people who use the newsgroup for a useful answer.

Actually, they're stored in both places, the server folders and your local
folders. IMAP is designed as an improvement to POP3/SMTP in that everything
remains on the server so it's available everywhere. The simplest way to get
everything to download and be local to your machine only would be to change
from IMAP back to POP3 where it all downloads and is removed from the
server.
