Random message delete

Hello,

Why does Windows Mail randomly delete messages from my inbox before I've
even had an opportunity to read them. I've checked my message rules and I've
got none set up for these particular messages.

I then have to go to gmail and move them back into the inbox. But just now,
after moving something back into the inbox, when I went back into my mailbox,
the program took it away again.

It seems to be deleting the messages in gmail, but they don't show up in my
deleted items folder in Windows Mail.

I can't guarantee, try the following :
1. Tools Options > Read. Put a few seconds on the first box; Mark message
read after displaying for ( x ) seconds.
2. View > Current View > Show all messages
Hope the above 2 combined will help.

Thanks. I already had that set, but I'm gonna try unchecking that box to see
if that helps.

I don't think that's the problem but thank you for your suggestion.

Do you have your Gmail account set up in Windows Mail as POP3 or IMAP?

It could be due to antivirus software. Try turning off email scanning. See

Did you look in the Junk E-mail folder?
