Movie Maker 2 crash

My computer came with a default movie maker for windows xp
home edition, when I looked online and upgraded to movie
maker 2, I seem to have a small problem, because the
program now loads around 5 times slower, quits 5 times
slower, and crashes any time I try to preview or use a
transition or video effect.

Does anyone know of a solution for this? I have tried
reinstalling already to no effect.

Thanks, it was the divxaf.ax file and was fixed as your
