Mouse Froze

I have Win XP Home Edition on a HP Pavilion at home. When I boot up, the
mouse cursor is froze. I can use keyboard functions to get
around(pain).....Any suggestions on how to resolve? The mouse itself works
on different machines. I looked at the Device Manager and don't even see a
driver for the mouse(it's gone).....Where can I download a new mouse driver
from? Many Thanks.......

Reinstall the video adapter drivers with the latest ones available
form the manufacturer of your video card or computer. If a fresh
install of those drivers does not solve the problem, you may have
to replace your video card.
