Mouse Errors caused by Spyware

I'm having an increasing amount of trouble posting on any kind of webpage BBS due to odd things happening when popups appear--or more often, don't actually appear but fail to

My computer will make a faint "click" as if something is popping up, and usually the window I am making use of will fade into the background. When I attempt to return to it, a variety of strange things happen as if I am in some unusual mode--for instance, using the wheel on my mouse will change the text size or go to a different page in my history rather than scrolling, or clicking on a part of the text I'm typing will highlight everything to that point instead of putting a cursor there. Sometimes clicking repeatedly or clicking on an area such as the title bar will return things to normal, but on occasion I have had to close the window entirely to get things back to normal, sometimes losing everything I typed

Although spyware removers help, it is often necessary to run them almost every day for days at a time--more spyware appears within hours and the popups begin again. Is there any reliable way I can at least return the mouse to working normally after something like this?

This sounds more like your Ctrl, or Shift keys are sticking. When you have
this problem, try pressing those keys.

Spilled anything on the keyboard lately?

No, I haven't; I've been asked that before while talking with someone about the problem. I'll try your advice--it could be that there is some kind of keyboard problem--but this problem only occurs when I'm having heavy popup traffic.

I have problem like this sometimes when using a keyboard switchbox but I've
never seen it just with software.
