hi all,

I have just upgraded my MB to a gigabyte GA-7VA, and when
i turn the power on it boots, bois is available nut when
i try to load windows i get a blue screen saying to check
HDD for errors. How can i do that when windows wont boot?
I dont have a floppy drive. Also, i was told to format
HDD for MB to work but i dont know how to without being
able to get a dos prompt.

Please help!
thanks

Dan

Before trying anything make sure that you installed the drive properly after
replacing the motherboard. Jumpers and ribbon cable and that the connectors
are seated properly.

Check bios and see if the drive appears there.

PS: You can format the drive from the winXP CD.
