More microsoft rubbish

I have full authority to use my comp, no one else uses it. Often, when I
delete a file, stupid microsoft pops up a message stating the file is in
use, and cannot be deleted, even if I haven't used the file for DAYS.

In other NGs, a company will have its support personnel post replies to its
customers, like a GOOD company should. But not arrogant microsoft.

It would be best to boot into Safe Mode, search for the file,
then delete it.

multiple files, which are?

This is a peer to peer support group whose topic happens to be help and
support for Windows XP.
The newsgroup is sponsored on a Microsoft server, but that is the extent of
Microsoft's obligation to the newsgroup. The majority of people who assist
newsgroup posters are *NOT* Microsoft employees. You were not promised any
direct support from anyone from Microsoft in this newsgroup.
Maybe next time, before you go shooting off your mouth and showing your
ignorance, you'll take the time to understand the nature of Usenet
Newsgroups.

With your condescending, self-centered attitude it is no wonder you received

Can be any file: txt, htm/l etc that I have created. When it says another
program is using it, like in html, then no browser (IE or Netscape) is in

using ms's os since 1990, so where do you come from with your uneducated

Highlighted, then delete key. Once they are "freed".

What happens when you right click? If you select 'delete'
what happens? What is the exact message?
