Help wanted: undeletable files in W. XP sp3

Hi folks,
My problem is the following:
Some files like MP4 cannot be deleted after downloading .
Pop-up: Cannot remove your mp4 file, acces denied. check your disk is
full or secured or the file is in use.
Laptop is a "stand alone". Files are not secured or shared.
The files sometimes can be moved, copied or renamed but not deleted. The
copies however do are deletable
I suppose here is some bug in the software. I can't find solution in
Microsoft's help and support
I have Windows XP sp3 home edition installed .
Please help me out and make me happy !!
