Modem issue

Dear,

I would like to get ur help in a strange issue I face with Xp- SP2.
First in daily base my modem port become closed for some reason i
remove it and reinstall and it work ok till the next day (only change
happen is the day date!!). Now in daily base my PC detect my modem as a
new hardware and I must delete it from control panel (it show in it but
not in hardware device manager) and the restart my PC and reinstall
it!!

Can any one please help me to know why this issue happen?

Check HCL site http://testedproducts.windowsmarketplace.com/ then see if your
modem applies to Windows XP's compatibility list - this might be the issue on
why it kept giving you errors.

Please help me on this issue it become a crazy rework in daily base. I
reinstual the windos again and still face the same issue.

That's weird...are you using a DSL/Cable or 56K modem?

Please give me specifications of this modem you are having issues with to
help you further.
