missing netoc.inf file

Anytime I go to Add or Remove windows components I receive the error "Setup
was unable to open information file netoc.inf. Contact your system
administrator. The specific error code is 0x2 at line 2011777033." Short
of reinstalling my Windows XP is there anything I can do to fix this? Help
please! Thank you!

Have you tried running a System Restore? From what I can gather, that
file is either missing or corrupt and is needed by the Add/Remove
component. A System Restore should do the trick. Good luck.
