Whenever I open add/remove windows components I get the
message "Setup was unable to open information file
netoc.inf. Contact your system administrator. The
specific error code is 0x2 at line 2011777033." I have
no clue what this means. If anyone can help I would be
thankful.

Hi Matt,

Check if file netoc.inf exists in folder C:\WINDOWS\inf. If not, try
to copy it from folder C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386.

This means you didn't install SP1 separately. You will need to expand it
from the XP CD. Start/Run/Msconfig/Expand.
EXPAND -R X:\I386\NETOC.IN_ C:\Windows\Inf

The servicepackfiles folder doesn't seem to exist.

Well, my computer didn't come with the XP cd, it came
with a restore cd so I don't really know what I should do
uh....ah well I suppose I can live with it, add/remove
windows components doesn't do much anyway. (for
instance, it doesn't delete windows messenger at all).
