Missing file after .NET upgrade

I ran a Norton system scan after I downloaded .NET framework, and it found 10
missing file errors...

I performed a system restore to a pre .NET download, then downloaded the
framework again only to get the same results.

It seems that all errors are due to 10 different .NET files, none of which
can access "msvcr80.dll"...

Is this a missing registry file? How can I correct it?...Please teach me.

Did .net work after you downloaded and installed it?

..NET works fine, and actually another site advised me to disregard the
missing file warning...

But I had a relatively flawless system, and now I got 10 errors from one MS
download...

Call me anal, but I'd prefer to fix the "selected problems"...

Any thoughts?

copy the file from the folder:
%windir%\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.VC80.CRT_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.42_x-ww_0de06acd
to the folder:
%windir%\system32 - and -
%windir%\system32\dllcache

This should satisfy Norton Win Doctor or PC Registry Scan or what ever tool
is telling you the file is missing.

Learn to quote. I'm not going to click on my post as I wont see any more
replies to it so I dont recall exactly what I said as my reader will
mark it read and I wont see it anymore when I refresh. That said, I have
NO idea what 10 errors you are talking about.

Is it really a problem? Or is it really just a Nortons niggle?

....Ok, copying to the system32 folder seemed to help, but I dont see a
\dllcache folder... Is it hidden, somwhere else, or on another OS than XP?...
