Missing emails

I am not getting emails from a particular sender. I have unblocked all
entries in the blocked list and checked with my ISP whether they block any -
not in this case. I used to get emails from this address up to about 6 months
ago and I have also been to his computer and tried sending an email to mine.
Nothing works. Can someone shed some light on this problem please.

Can they reply to you by responding to a mail from you?

Did you PHYSICALLY check to see if your mail provider (ISP) as a spam filter
on their website, after you log in with your credentials?

Ignore the ISP support staff generally, if it is not on their SHEET, they
say it can't happen.

Does the person trying to send to you get an error message, or a
non-delivery report?

Thanks for all your support.
I agree that the support staff just follow a cheat sheet and generally do
not understand the problem. The sender had no notification that his emails
were not being received. I had to set up another address so we could
communicate. For some reason this one did not get blocked.
I eventually got a NZ based technician who sorted it out. The answer was
that the part of the senders domain had been blocked because of a previous
spam message being put into blocked senders. Although I had gone through and
removed all the blocked lists on my computer, I had not seen the SAVE CHANGES
button above so of course they remained there. How dumb was that??
