Missing "display adapters"

M

Mac

In my DEVICE MANAGER window, I have no listing
for "display adapters".

This started with trying to check Direct X. When I used
the Direct X Diagnostic it said that it was using
a "generic video adapter". So I went into the DEVICE
MANAGER and found that "display adapters" is not even
listed.

I have a GEforce2 nvidia card installed and I have
downloaded and installed the drivers to make sure I have
the latest.

Any suggestions?

Mac, does your Monitor show up? I would remove the Card physically and try
an older card if you have one. Then reinstall
the GeForce and let WinXP reinstall it.
