missing cd

I purchased a computer with xp pro new from a dealer in
my area.
1 week after the purchase the company disappeared.
I would like to get the cd from which they loaded my xp
pro into my machine.
if i supply the vendor name and the license# will
microsoft provide this disk?

You're going to have to get the WinXP Pro cd from your dealer as it was
preloaded on your machine when you purchased your computer.

No. Microsoft takes no responsibility for OEM versions. Your only
recourse is with the dealer, if you can find him.
