Recently bought new computer. Old one Windows 98 - New
one Windows XP.
Problem. I could not transfer files from old to new.
Tried the direct cable didn't works. Got help from live
support - didn't work.

I copies some files to a floppy (Word Processing) and put
them into MY Documents. These files were basically
envelopes wit addresses. They started multiplying in the
My Doc.file. Every time I delete them another copy
appears. Now up to 23 copies of each file.

Help!!!

First thing to do is a complete system scan with up to date antivirus
software.
