I am thinking of getting a new desktop to replace my old one. My brother says
that Windows has software already installed called Windows file transfer
Wizard that transfers files and settings from one computer to another.
How does that work if you are working with different sized hard drives and
operating systems? For example if the old computer is Windows XP and the new
one, is Vista?
How does Windows know which files and settings to copy and save and which
ones to overwrite?
What hardware is needed? How does one setup the connection between the two
computers?
