Microsoft Word Ruler / Margin Problem (screenshot provided)

You will notice that the ruler shows your text width as 6.5", which is what
you would expect with 1" left and right margins. Word is showing the page
oversized because the document contains markup (comments or tracked
changes), and the extra margin width is to allow for the "balloons." If you
print the document from this view, the text will be reduced on the page
(usually in the upper left corner) to allow this extra space.

If you display the Reviewing toolbar and choose Final view instead of Final
Showing Markup, you will get the view you expect, but be aware that hiding
markup does not remove it; to do that, you have to accept (or reject) all
the changes and delete all the comments.
