"microsoft windows has encountered an internal error"

A pop up message has been bothering me for a few days now. "microsoft
windows has encountered an internal error".

I suspect that it is a virus. Does any one know what it is.


More details of the message are as follows:

message from SYSTEM to ALERT on <datat> & <time>

microsoft windows has encountered an internal error.
