Windows Office Power Point and Excel Opening By Themselves With Er

Each time I boot my system running Windows XP Media Center Version 2005 and
Microsoft Office 2003 I get the normal desktop display and then I get the
following error messages:
Microsoft OfficeExcel has encountered a problem and has to close.
Microsoft Office Power Point has encountered a problem and has to close
The messages have a box checked to restart the application and I am asked if
I want to submit and error report.
If I leave the boxes checked Execl and Power Point advise that I should
start in safe mode.
My problem is that I have not started either application when the errors
appear.
My problem is that I don't want to get an error message about an application
that I haven't opened. What is opening Power Point and Excel and how can I
stop it?

Why don't you ask the experts in the Office or PowerPoint and Excel forums?

Have you installed Live Mail with all the addons, I can't remember now which
one caused that same problem on my machine but I think it's the one that
allows Office access directly to your online file store. Running Win 7 now
so I can't check back.
