error messages opening and printing power point

all of a sudden I am getting error messages opening and printing power point.
New presentations are not opening, and my older presentations will not
print. When they get to the point of opening (in the case of the new ones)
or printing (in the case of the older ones) I get error messages: i.e. "power
point has encountered a problem and needs to close." I close and reopen and
get the same message.

Do you have any add-in's installed?
Have you tried the Office detect and repair?
What are the error codes that are being sent to MS?
