The tool bar shows that Photo Editor is running, but I can't open a photo
attachment in Eurdora email, and I can't close the Photo Editor. If I right
click on Photo editor and close it, when I attempt to view the picture Photo
Editor appears and prevents the picture from being opened.
How do I keep Photo Editor closed?

You might get better response if you post your query in an Office (Photo
Editor) or Eudora group. Your problem seems pretty specific to one of those
programs.

Sounds like maybe the photo files (whatever filetype they are) are
"associated" with Photo Editor...and Photo Editor can't handle that
filetype.

Check out the ASSOC command; that's how you can set/reset W2k filetype
associations. From a command prompt: ASSOC /?

Photo Ed seems (on my machine, at least) to be unable to handle a JPG
file if its extension is ".JPEG".
