Microsoft Outlook Shutting Down when open any e-mail. Please HELP!

every time i try to open or press reply to the e-mails i get the message
'Microsoft Office Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle od something, the
information you were working on might be lost'. thank you.

With so much info all that can be sugested is to run Detect/Repair, and then
maybe scanpst.exe
